Elf snags panties, gets pinched

This just in from the BBC:

vThe elf Beho of Shadowrun (in other contexts known as Robert Boyd, a lab technician from Carrickfergus), made a raid on a panty shop in Belfast, where he brandished a Japanese sword at staff and made off with suspendies, a girdle and a bra.

Boyd, however, has been caught with his pants down, and is in quite an awkward position, knickers in a twist and all. According to him, it was Beho who committed the crime — Boyd, himself, has no recollection of the event. Trial is pending. For now, though, the poor guy’s up a tree.

    Definitely news of the wierd:

A man accused of a stealing underwear from a shop in a knifepoint raid believed he was a female elf at the time, Belfast Crown Court has heard.

Shades of the immortal skit …. watch it at Monty Python: The Lumberjack Song

I chop down trees, I wear high heels,
    Suspendies and a bra.
    I wish I’d been a girlie
    Just like my dear papa.

Didn’t mean to be anonymous … laptop rebuild ate my cookies. (Nothing to do with coffee or chocolate biscuits.)

This is like blaming naughtiness on your imaginary friend when you’re a little kid.

    I love it.

Had a friend whose brothers and sisters all said “nobody” when something naughty was done. This was eventually shortened to “Buddy”. So everything was Buddy’s fault in their family.

I’m not sure I really should be laughing this loud at something that in all reality it probably quite sad.

But I’m having an awful hard time stop smiling at this.

I thought that too. But in the way way back of my youth, I worked for a newspaper in Lubbock, Texas, and got a taste for smart-aleck headlines and absurdist “news”. Old habits are hard to break.
